Best Time To Go

March through May and September through November avoid the hardest summer heat. Winter days can be pleasant, but riads and desert excursions need warm layers after sunset.

Three days gives the medina, major gardens and palaces, food, and one slower hammam or craft plan. Add a fourth day for the Atlas Mountains or desert-edge scenery.

Where To Stay And Move

A riad inside the medina offers atmosphere, while Hivernage and Gueliz are easier for cars and modern hotels. Save offline directions and arrange the final walk to a riad before arrival.

Food And Budget

Tagines, tangia, couscous, pastries, markets, and rooftop meals span a wide range. Agree on taxi prices when needed and distinguish fixed-price shops from places where bargaining is expected.
